ELIGIBILITY: Anyone 18 years of age or older may enter. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Oaks Christian School Advancement Department employees and members of the Board of Directors are excluded from participating and are not eligible. This is not a lottery; this is an opportunity drawing by chance. All federal, state and local laws associated with receipt or use of prize, including without limitation all applicable sales, use, luxury, income and special taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has decided that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for prizes are not gifts, and do not qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions
ENTRY: By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth herein, and, (2) that their names and/or likeness may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may, otherwise, be used for publicity purposes. The winners name and/or likeness may be published in newspapers and announced on the school website. Other rules and regulations may apply. Winner is responsible for tax and registration and title fees and must remove vehicle from property within 30 to 45 days of drawing. The winner also agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Oaks Christian School, and/or sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and affiliates and identities from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winners acceptance or use of any prize.
REFUNDS: All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made.
The Prize: Each ticket holder wins entry into the Oaks Christian School Car Opportunity Drawing on
April 5, 2014. One winner will be awarded the 2014 Mercedes CLA Coupe (value $25,000). THERE SHALL BE NO CASH REFUNDS. The winner may upgrade the vehicle at the dealership at winner’s expense. The winner assumes and must pay all fees and charges (including, but not limited to registration and license), local, state and federal taxes when the car is transferred to the winner. In addition, all costs of car ownership, such as (without limitation) insurance, are the winner's sole responsibility. Oaks Christian School assumes no responsibility for a prize winner's tax obligations and suggests you consult your tax advisor. Oaks Christian School will file a form W-2g with the Internal Revenue Service to report the value of the prize won. As required by the Internal Revenue Service, prior to receipt of the car, the winner will be responsible for the payment to Oaks Christian School of withholding taxes equal to 25% of the fair market value of the car. The winner will receive a copy of the IRS Form W-2g form reporting the value of the grand prize and the amount of taxes withheld. This offer is void where prohibited by law and all federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The winner must have proper identification when claiming the vehicle (a valid state driver’s license) and appropriate insurance. No return is allowed, no substitution or exchange for cash or other goods will be provided. Oaks Christian School is not responsible for the vehicle’s quality nor shall it have any responsibility once the vehicle has been conveyed or delivered to the winner. Oaks Christian School makes no guarantee that the IRS will accept any stated value of any automobile for the purpose of determining any income tax that may be due from the winner. Oaks Christian School takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. The winner is strongly advised to seek professional legal and tax advice. Award of the prize could have material adverse consequences on the winner including without limitation, with respect to taxes, income, government entitlements or other benefits, or other legal, financial or other matters.
Eligibility: Only licensed drivers, 18 years of age and older at time of donation are eligible to participate and enter. Oaks Christian School reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Official Rules, any applicable laws, or who makes any misrepresentations relative to this drawing of chance.
Entry and Tickets: No purchase or contribution is necessary to participate in the opportunity drawing. However, the minimum donation is $200 per ticket. The $200 is payable to Oaks Christian School. A maximum of 500 tickets will be issued. Ticket sales will cease when that number of qualified entries is reached. Only ticket holders with validly obtained tickets are eligible to participate in the drawing. Oaks Christian School assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail or other failure to deliver tickets prior to any deadline.
